To ensure a horse's dental health and overall well-being, rasping or floating teeth, when necessary, is important. In a horse, teeth grow throughout its life and due to the nature of its diet, which consists mainly of grass and hay (soft food), teeth can wear unevenly. This can lead to the formation of oversized teeth or tooth enamel tips (enamel tips). This can cause injuries to the cheeks and/or tongue and difficulty in chewing.

To ensure that the horse can continue to chew properly and not develop dental problems, teeth are rasped.

Rasping the teeth can also help prevent or solve other common dental problems (hooks, waves). Regular dental care contributes to the horse's health and well-being.

The Equivet Magfloat handles come in 7 different models and are ergonomically designed for easy access to the different parts of the horse's teeth. Six of these handles are equipped with two magnets and should be used with 19 x 55 mm rasps. These rasps are available in fine and medium versions. The seventh handle, specially designed for the care of the upper and lower occlusal molars, has three magnets. These three magnets guarantee that the unique curved rasp, measuring 20 x 60 mm, remains firmly in place.
