GLOBAL - Orion Animal Health and Inovet joining forces

We are pleased to announce that as of today, June 15th 2022, Inovet1 has become part of the Orion Group.
Orion Group is a globally operating Finnish pharmaceutical company.
The friendly acquisition will enable the creation of a strong combined Animal Health Player with many more opportunities for growth.
The combined entity becomes a major animal health company with a wider geographical presence and a broader product portfolio, covering both livestock and companion animals.
Orion develops, manufactures, and markets human and veterinary pharmaceuticals and active pharmaceutical ingredients. Orion's net sales in 2021 amounted to EUR 1,041 million and the company consists of 3,350 employees. Orion's shares are listed on Nasdaq Helsinki.
The Animal Health division provides 7 % of its net sales. The division consists of approximately 70 dedicated sales and marketing colleagues. Currently, 75% of Orion’s net sales is generated by veterinary medicines for companion animals and 25 % for livestock & equine.

1 Orion Corporation has entered into an agreement with Belgian private company Inovet BV to acquire its wholly-owned subsidiary V.M.D. NV and all companies belonging to V.M.D. NV’s: Laboratoires Biové SAS, Biard SAS, V.M.D. Állatgyógyászati Kft and Inovet Indochine Co., Ltd.
